If within 2 years of the Buyer receiving the dog/puppy, it is found to have any of the following health issues involving hereditary or congenital defects, which include Hip Dysplasia, Epilepsy, Heart Disease, Liver or Kidney Disease, Degenerative Myelopathy, Progressive Retinal Atrophy, Osteochondritis Dissecans, Patella Luxation, Hypothyroidism, Addison’s Disease, Exercise Induced Collapse, or any other hereditary or congenital defect which impacts clinically on the dog’s quality of life, as certified by a qualified licensed veterinarian, the REMEDY clause outlined below shall be applicable and available to the Buyer.
Health issues that are not caused by hereditary or congenital defects are NOT covered under this Health Guarantee. This includes accidental injury or the onset of health problems that can be attributed to harmful side effects caused by some vaccines/medications, poor diet, the ingestion of harmful chemicals, lack of exercise or exposure to undue stress. It is the Breeder’s firm recommendation that prior to the Buyer giving the dog/puppy any medications or vaccines that the Buyer ask a licensed veterinarian about the known harmful side effects of any drug or medication. This will allow the Buyer to make a more informed decision as to what vaccines and/or medications may be right for their dog/puppy.
REMEDY:
If it becomes necessary to replace a dog or to seek an alternate remedy due to a health problem, the Buyer agrees to choose one of the following remedies.
1) The Breeder agrees to replace the Buyer’s dog/puppy with one of equal value. When choosing this remedy, the Buyer may either keep the dog/puppy or return it to the Breeder at Buyer’s expense. It is understood that there may not be a replacement dog/puppy available at the time of request, therefore, the Breeder is given up to 6 months to satisfy this remedy. Delivery costs and/or pickup expenses are the Buyer's responsibility and are not refundable.
2) The Breeder agrees to reimburse the Buyer in the amount of 100% of the original purchase price of the dog. It is understood that reimbursement is defined as the Breeder giving back to the buyer 100% of the original sale price of the dog/puppy. If the Buyer paid the Breeder an additional amount for training, that amount will also be included in the reimbursement. When choosing this remedy, the Buyer may either keep the dog/puppy or return it to the Breeder at Buyer’s expense. Delivery costs and/or pickup expenses are the Buyer's responsibility and are not refundable.
