Our Breeding Standards

My Sheepadoodle puppies are from elite purebred registered Poodles and our purebred Old English Sheepdogs hailing from our own exquisite European bloodlines.

Our sires and dams have been DNA tested for the presence of certain mutated genes known to cause health issues in both Poodles and Old English Sheepdogs. All of our sires and dams are 100% clear of those mutated genes that cause Progressive Retinal Atrophy, Degenerative Myelopathy, Seizures, Thyroid Disease, Sebaceous Adenitis, Von Willebrand Disease, Osteochondrodysplasia and more. 

Penn HIP testing is conducted on all parent dogs. This testing helps us determine whether or not hip dysplasia potential is present in the parent dogs and the probability appearing in their offspring. All of our parent dogs must show that they are better than average for the breed.

We implement the "Super Dog" program (Early Neurological Stimulation) beginning when puppies are 3 days of age. 

Because we have many years of professional experience in training service dogs, we are able to provide an advanced socialization program for all puppies! This involves lots of love, attention, proper handling, and proper sound adaptation and conditioning.

All of our puppies are examined by a licensed veterinarian and must be given a clean bill of health prior to Puppy Pick Day and within just a few days prior to going to their forever homes.

You'll receive a certified pedigree for your puppy. This pedigree shows your puppy's lineage documented directly from each parent dog's certified AKC pedigree. We believe that it is important to provide our new puppy owners with assurance that the puppy is a true Sheepadoodle hailing from the highest quality Poodle and Old English Sheepdog bloodlines. 

Your puppy receives their first round of vaccinations at 6 weeks of age. When you take your Sheepadoodle puppy home at 8 weeks, you'll need to make arrangements with your veterinarian to accommodate administering the subsequent 3 remaining required rounds of vaccines. This should occur in 3-week intervals. Puppies staying for training will receive their second round of vaccines at 9 weeks of age.

All puppies are susceptible to getting worms. It's just part of being a puppy/dog. This is why we deworm our puppies according to the recommendations of our DVM, which is every 2 weeks beginning at 2 weeks of age. We use the highest quality, human grade medication - Pyrantel Pamoate.

By 8 wees of age, our puppies are properly socialized, sound conditioned, leash trained and know how to use a dog door. Extended professional obedience training and house training is also available. You can learn more about our training program for puppies right here.
